Vibe Australia conceived and founded the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Music, Sport, Entertainment and Community Awards (aka The Deadlys). The Deadlys are a high-profile awards night that showcases excellence by Indigenous people across the areas of music, sport, the arts, entertainment, health, education and community achievement.

2014 will be the 20th year of the Deadly Awards and it is firmly established as the national leading award ceremony for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As a result the awards command widespread attention locally, regionally and nationally via media coverage, promotional collateral and highly distinguished supporters and guests.

Sponsorship is a great way of reaching Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia. The event will be publicised regularly and working with our media partners further afield. That’s why we pay very close attention to making sponsorship good value for all of our supporters. A principal benefit is that it associates your organisation with an event that is successful, creative, dynamic, well established and greatly respected. Highlights of the awards will be streamed on our website and direct links to the material can be provided for use on our sponsors’ websites.

Sponsors in previous years have included the Major sponsors – Department of Health and Ageing, Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, Sydney Opera House, CSIRO, Healing Foundation, Department of Broadband & Digital Economy, Wellington Aboriginal Cooperative Health Service, and Vibe Australia Other sponsors – Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, Department of Attorney-General, Reconciliation Australia, Office of Aboriginal Affairs NSW, APRA, Equmen, Australian Electrical Commission and PPCA

Our media partners were Deadly Vibe®, Deadly Sounds, Koori Mail, NITV, Koori Radio and triple j. We also had in-kind support from Australian Human Rights Commission, NAISDA, Kerrie Hayes Productions, AFL and The Australasian College Broadway, Department of Communities NSW. The Deadly Awards offer a variety of sponsorship opportunities and advertising packages. We have a range of sponsorship packages available which offer sponsors a variety of branding opportunities throughout the project promotional schedule as well as in the awards program, on the website and at the event itself.
